Editorial Policy: Challenge welcomes scholarly papers which analyze any as· pect of problems associated with African Americans. In particular, it seeks to encourage research which integrates conceptual or theoretical ideas with rigorous empirical data. As the official publication of the Morehouse Re search Institute, ChaUenge will publish solicited papers presented at its an nual conference. Other unsolicited papers will also appear. Articles submitted for pub lication in Challenge should conform to the style set forth by the American Sociological Association and found in ""instructions to Contributors" in the American Sociological Review. Unsolicited papers should be accompanied by a stamped, self-addressed post card. Manuscripts will not be returned to authors.
Anonymous Review. Both solicited and unsolicited manuscripts will un· dergo a process of blind review. The name(s) of author(s) should appear only on the title sheet. You should allow two months for review and notification of acceptance.
Subscription. Challenge is published twice a year: September and May. The subscription prices (which includes postage) is $10 for individuals and $25 for libraries. Please remit the appropriate amount to Morehouse Research Institute, 830 Westview Drive, S.W., Atlanta, Georgia 30314-3773.
