Editorial Policy: Challenge publishes scholarly papers on all issues germane to African American life. Particular emphasis is placed on African American men, their fami lies, and their communities. As the official publication of the Morehouse Research Institute (MRI), Challenge also publishes special issues with papers presented at MRI conferences and invited papers on selected themes. Unsolicited papers related to the themes may also be included in special issues.
Instructions for Contributors: Articles submitted for publication in Challenge should conform to the style set forth by the American Sociological Association. See "Manuscript Preparation," in the American Sociological Review's Notice to Contributors. A Preparation Checklist for ASA Manuscripts can be found at: http://www.asanet.org/galleries/default-file/asaguidelinesnew.pdf. Contributors should send an electronic version of the manuscript in MS Word to imukenge®morehouse.edu and istoney@morehouse.edu. GA 30314-3773. Manuscripts will not be returned to authors. Unsolicited papers should be accompanied by a stamped postcard addressed to the corresponding author Anonymous Review. All manuscripts will undergo blind review. Authors' names should appear only on the title page. Please allow eight weeks for review and notifi cation of acceptance.
